If you love dogs and coo over newborn babies, these heart-warming snaps of a tiny baby snuggled up to the family dog will melt your heart.

Little Archie Spence, who is a few months old, regularly drifts off clutching a teddy bear and nuzzled into his English Pointer called Nora.

So mother Elizabeth Spence, from Manitoba, Canada, caught the adorable pair on camera whiling the hours away and posed them up in a variety of hilarious matching poses including holding lightsabers, dolls and teddies.

Archie Spence regularly drifts off clutching a teddy bear and nuzzled into his English Pointer bedside buddy, Nora, so his mother, Elizabeth Spence from Manitoba, Canada, caught the adorable pair on camera in a series of heart-warming snaps

Elizabeth, 43, said: 'I thought it would be fun to document and share these daily love fests to show how awesome rescue dogs are.

'The majority of people are overwhelmed by the evident love shared between them and are thrilled and moved to see it.

'The occasional few express concern but are generally appeased when assured that the dogs and baby are never left sleeping together unattended.'

Mother-of-three Elizabeth, who has three cats and three rescue dogs, revealed that the pictures are easy to prep as one of the dogs are usually on hand hoping for a hug.

She captures them posed them up in a variety of hilarious matching poses including holding lightsabers, dolls and teddies

She said: 'While some might be weary of making dogs like these members of their households, as my experiences and photos attest, rescue dogs can be some of the gentlest, most loving dogs imaginable and really deserve a chance at adoption'

In most of the images the baby and dogs snooze back-to-back and in others, the dog can be seen spooning Archie with its paws protectively wrapped around him.

In other snaps, the family cats get involved, too, and join Archie and his furry-friends for their afternoon snooze on the bed.

She said: 'The photos really are not that difficult to take as the dogs and baby really do gravitate towards one another.

'Generally, if I prep a shoot around Archie's nap time I'll be sure to get a lovely shot as at least one dog is sure to be hanging around hoping for a cuddle around that time.
